Shadegan Oil Field , is located about 65 km southeast of Ahvaz with the dimensions of approximately 23 km in length and 6 km in width. This field consist of two main reservoirs including Asmari and Bangestan formations with the estimated oil in-place of 4.4 billion barrels .The development plan aims to increase oil production from the current 105000 to 150000 barrels per day. To this aim subsurface development activities include drilling of 3 appraisal wells, 8 water disposal wells, and 29 production wells. The plan also includes Surface development activities consist of redesign and modification of the Marun 3 and 4 production facilities, installation of flowlines and transfer pipelines, and establishent of a Central Processing Facility unit
